Top 10 Most Expensive NFTs
The top 10 Most Expensive NFTs list is here for 2021 and it’s been quite the year on the NFT front. The years 2020 and 2021 have seen such a huge growth in the sector not just in prices but in projects being released. Some of these NFT’s are now beginning to attract the biggest celebrities and top influencers to get a piece of the action. NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens have become the most sought-after investment.
Two of the most popular and top-of-the-price range NFT are the Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks. So recently Kendall Jenner tried to buy a Bored Ape NFT from the owner to be told that they weren’t selling. While you might look at these prices as insane remember it’s an investment.
So let’s count down the Top 10 Most Expensive NFTs
(Note: Prices are in U.S. Dollars due to the fluctuating nature of the Ethereum blockchain. All figures accurate to Ethereum prices at the time of sale.)
10. CryptoPunk #5217 — $5.59m
CryptoPunk #5217 is an ape with an orange knitted hat and gold chain, some seriously desirable traits even by CryptoPunk standards.
#5217 is one of the rarest Cryptopunks on the market, ranking at 34th according to rarity.tools, so you can expect the price for this Crypto punk to keep going up. Make it a great investment.
9. Beeple’s Ocean Front — $6m
Beeple is very well known in the digital space so their work also carries a hefty price tag. If you are wanting any of his pieces be prepared to pay a pretty penny for it.
This is the first of his artwork in the top 10.
8. XCopy’s A Coin for the Ferryman — $6.034m
— XCOPY 🏴 (@XCOPYART) April 20, 2018
This happens to be one of XCopy’s earliest pieces created in 2018. This has only just recently sold on November 4, 2021, for 6m dollars.
The art is an amalgamation of faces scribbled and different colors in the background of each other in a GIF format. This makes it very unique to the beholder and probably of one a kind. This is the kind of NFT you can look at and watch for hours and never get bored.
7. Beeple’s Crossroad — $6.6m
The #1/1 from beeple’s first NG drop was resold on the secondary market for staggering $6.6 million.
— Nifty Gateway (@niftygateway) February 25, 2021
Beeple crossroad artwork is a 10-second clip of a large being naked and laying face down on the grass. With the words like “loser” stamped and etched into their body. As people walk past on their daily walks and about their business not even looking at the face-down figure.
6. CryptoPunk #7804 — $7.6m
CryptoPunk crashes on the list again, but certainly not the last. The #7804 is one of just nine ‘Alien’ CryptoPunks, with a kick ass pipe, hat and the killer shades.
This is definitely one to look out for as the vaule growns.
5. CryptoPunk #3100 — $7.67m
On March 11, 2021, just one day after #7804 sold, #3100 became even more expensive than its counterpart
Another Alien punk, but this time sporting just a headband, which reminds me of the UK 118 advert, but the colour is blue instead of red.
4. CryptoPunk #7523 — $11.75m
CryptoPunk #7523 is the third rarest in the collection, and it’s very pricey but worth it from the collection.
With two more rare CryptoPunks than #7523, how much more do you think they will be sold for if they ever do?
3. Beeple’s HUMAN ONE — $28.985M
Beeple is creating some of the most expensive NFTs in the world, by taking 3 spots in the top 10.

The effort alone to carry on something every day for 13 years is so amazing.
